We're a passionate research team with a focus on making a difference in public health and environmental sustainability. Our diverse research efforts include drinking water quality, microbiology, hydroponics, landfill leachate, as well as innovative approaches to citizen science. With access to cutting-edge technology offered at leading research university and continuously engaging with communities, we aim to address pressing environmental challenges and enhance the well-being of both ecosystems and people.
About Dr. Caitlin Proctor
Caitlin R. Proctor is currently an Assistant Professor of Agricultural & Biological Engineering (ABE) and Environmental & Ecological Engineering (EEE) at Purdue University conducting research at the cutting edge of microbiome engineering across a variety of aquatic systems. She is passionate about unlocking the potential of microbes to maintain safe and sustainable engineered water systems. She was awarded a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland and completed her masters at Virginia Tech.
